Do you have plans for Spring break?  We do! At Glen Helen, we love camp so much, that we’ve decided to get an early start this year with Spring Break Ecocamp.

Just like our summer Ecocamps, campers will spend the week exploring, playing and learning in Glen Helen Nature Preserve, having adventures and connecting with friends- old and new!

Younger Group - $200 
A week-long day camp running Monday March 23rd to Friday March 27th. For campers in Kindergarten to 2nd Grade, the Younger Group session of Spring Break Camp will start at 9:00am with pick-up taking place between 3:30-4:00pm.  Campers will enjoy a wonderful lunch and afternoon snack daily.
Older Group - $225

A week-long day camp running Monday March 23rd to Friday March 27th. The Older Group session for 3rd to 6th Graders will run from 9:00am to pick-up between 5:30-6:00pm. Campers will enjoy a wonderful lunch and afternoon snack daily.

How old does my child have to be to attend Spring Break Camp?  

Kindergarten through 6th grade.

How much does Spring Break Camp Cost?

Our Younger Group camp fee is $200.00 for the week.  The Older Group camp fee is $225.00 for the week. This fee includes lunch and an afternoon snack each day.  

What extended care options are available?

Extended care options include:

Extended Morning care - (option for both Younger and Older Groups) Early drop-off between 7:45am-8:30am with breakfast is available for the week for an additional charge of $35.00.

Extended Afternoon care - (option for Younger Group) runs from 3:30pm to pick-up between 5:30pm-6:00pm for the week is available for an additional charge of $25.00.

What is the registration deadline?

All camps are open until full or until Thursday March 19th.

How many campers are in each group?  

Enrollment is limited to groups 12 campers per naturalist..  

My children are a few years apart, will they be in the same group?

Our campers are divided into smaller groups by grade. Curricula and activities are designed for these different age groups, which are developmentally distinct from each other.  Your children may be in the same group, but that is not a guarantee.

Who are the Camp Counselors?  

Our Naturalists who teach here throughout the school year!  All of our staff are exceptionally qualified in elementary and middle school science education and bring with them a wide range of experience in outdoor education.

ECOCAMP POLICIES

 

  • Deposits: A $100 deposit is required to reserve a camper’s session.  Deposits are applied toward the tuition fee.  The remainder is due by 5pm, Thursday March 19th.

  • Insufficient Funds: A $35 fee is charged for checks returned for insufficient funds.

  • Camper Cancellations: Deposit refunds are not available for camp cancellation within fourteen (14) days of a child's scheduled start date. Cancellation occurring more than fourteen (14) days prior to a child's scheduled start date, will receive a 50% deposit refund. 

  • Camp Cancellations: Camps are subject to change or cancellation.  In the event that your child's camp is canceled, an alternate camp may be available, or a full refund will be awarded.

  • Dismissal of Campers: Glen Helen reserves the right to dismiss a child from camp if his/her behavior is adversely affecting the group or if an illness arises. A refund is not awarded if a camper is dismissed from camp.

  • Camper Sign-in/out: Campers are released to individuals listed on the child's Release Form only. A valid photo ID is required for all parent/guardians. Day Campers and Overnight Campers will not be released to individuals that do not meet both requirements (Photo ID and are named on the child's Release Form.)
